The Village of Lardos

A great part of your itinerary should be visiting the historical Rhodes town, followed by a tour of the breathtaking Lindos village. The tourist information and guide book found inside Villa Helios provides some very useful information about the nearby sights and local culture. Included inside the book are numbers you can call for cleaning and individuals who you can talk to for hand over matters. All of the staff live locally and they speak good English. They will introduce themselves and go out of their way to give you the best possible holiday experience as you relax in Villa Helios.

Lardos, an unforgettably beautiful village full of friendly folks can be found along the southern east side of the island just beside the town of Lindos. Lardos provides the full range of comforts and modern conveniences one gets accustomed to. There are bicycle, motorbike and car rentals, an international phone line, money exchange facilities, pharmacies, hairdressers, doctors, surgeons and dentists.

The famed village square is where all townspeople converge. The tree-lined area houses a natural spring water well where the locals go to gather fresh water; some of the townsfolk have grown accustomed to drinking spring water instead of drawing water from piped water supply. You can find friendly people sitting in and enjoying the sun along the square’s cafenions, drinking local ouzos or Greek coffee while playing a friendly game of Tavly. The restaurants here offer both Greek and International cuisines that is sure to make your mouth water.
